Army: SovietPeriod: Mid War, Late WarT-34 obr 1942 is the first of our boxes, they are aimed at making it easier to collect your Flames of War forces. Each box contains a complete unit that, once painted, is ready to take to the field of battle. The first of these is the T-34 obr 1942, the most numerous of the T-34 variants. You may have noticed we have made a slight change in how we refer to the T-34s, so you may remember our old version of this tank as the obr 1943. More recent research based on Russian sources has led to the change. The T-34 obr 1942 was the workhorse of the Red Army throughout the war. While outclassed with its 76mm main gun, it is still a viable support tankflanking at high speed, blasting enemy gun pits and generally harassing enemy tanks. Theyre often found with the Guards mechanised units as a reliable tank, used to exploit through gaps in the enemy line. The remaining tanks and infantry would follow-up and secure the opening for the remaining Red Army units. What do You Get? The tanks inside have been individually sculpted with a great array of stowage, giving each tank its own character. And they look fantastic! (see below for more information) The box is packed full of goodies, five individually sculpted T-34s, decals, and mounted tank crew. Inside you will find the commanders cupola (installed on tanks from late 1943 on), some spare tracks and a few extra fuel barrels for your T-34 obr 1942. Also included is the OT-34 flame tanks flame nozzle, which fits in the hull machine-gun port. You will also get a sheet of our new Soviet decals. The sheet contains red stars, slogans and unit numbers (right). The box also includes ten magnets so that you can magnatise your turrets, keeping them safe from harm. More...

Army: SovietPeriod: Early War, Mid War, Late WarThe rockets of the Guards Katyusha rocket batteries have inflicted terrible losses, both physical and mental, upon the German army. But now with the full fury of the Red Army bearing down on the fascist defenders, the Katyusha will break the enemys means and will to fight! The BM-13 rocket launchers, nicknamed Stalins Organs by the Germans, first saw use in 1941 with a mere forty launchers being used against the German invasion. The Katyusha was well received and cheap to manufacture, so the Red Army ordered more. By the end of 1941, there were eight regiments, 35 independent battalions, and two independent batteries in service, holding a total of 554 launchers. By the end of the war, the Soviets operated 518 batteries of Katyusha rocket launchers. The rockets became a very useful tool for the Soviet rifle divisions during Operation Bagration. Hundred of Katyusha launchers signalled the Soviet onslaught on June 22, 1944. The screams of the rockets careening toward the German lines pulverised and shocked the German defenders. After the initial assaults, the Katyushas simply packed up and drove to the next position to help support the breakthrough efforts of the Guards mechanised and tank corps. More...
Army: SovietPeriod: Late WarThe heavy tanks of the Soviet Union will crush all opposition under their treads. They will not stop for anything until final victory is achieved over the fascist scum! With 120mm armour on the front and 90mm on the side, the tank was well protected for duty on the eastern front. The IS-2 first saw action in the Spring of 1944. IS-2 units were assigned to important operations and often led the initial assaults as they did in Operation Bagration in June 1944. There were 21 tanks in the regiment leading the shock armies of the Soviet Union into battle More...
