Art of War II

Code: FW051

Art of War II

£7.65
Quantity:

*Pre-Release Order

We’re pleased to give you the second issue of Art of War: The Wehrmacht Edition! In this issue we’ve tackled some of the great painting and modelling challenges surrounding German companies. The concept behind this issue is to give you everything you need to research how your German army will look, and failing that, point you in the right direction for further research.

This issue includes some more interviews with both staff and hobbyists. They talk about their German armies and reveal some great tips and tricks for your own German force.

There is also an in-depth article covering the ins-and-outs of identifying and painting German uniforms for the various service arms including Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, and the Luftwaffe. Bruce Oberst also shares how to actually paint the tiny insignias and ranks on your infantry uniforms!

T34 obr 1942/OT-34 Company (5 Tanks)

Code: SBX01

T34 obr 1942/OT-34 Company (5 Tanks)

£27.00
Quantity:

*Pre-Release Order

T-34 obr 1942 is the first of our boxes, they are aimed at making it easier to collect your Flames of War forces.

Each box contains a complete unit that, once painted, is ready to take to the field of battle.

The first of these is the T-34 obr 1942, the most numerous of the T-34 variants.

You may have noticed we have made a slight change in how we refer to the T-34s, so you may remember our old version of this tank as the obr 1943. More recent research based on Russian sources has led to the change.

The T-34 obr 1942 was the workhorse of the Red Army throughout the war. While outclassed with its 76mm main gun, it is still a viable support tank—flanking at high speed, blasting enemy gun pits and generally harassing enemy tanks. They’re often found with the Guards mechanised units as a reliable tank, used to exploit through gaps in the enemy line. The remaining tanks and infantry would follow-up and secure the opening for the remaining Red Army units.

What do You Get?

The tanks inside have been individually sculpted with a great array of stowage, giving each tank its own character. And they look fantastic! (see below for more information)

The box is packed full of goodies, five individually sculpted T-34s, decals, and mounted tank crew.

Inside you will find the commander’s cupola (installed on tanks from late 1943 on), some spare tracks and a few extra fuel barrels for your T-34 obr 1942.

Also included is the OT-34 flame tanks flame nozzle, which fits in the hull machine-gun port.

You will also get a sheet of our new Soviet decals. The sheet contains red stars, slogans and unit numbers (right).

The box also includes ten magnets so that you can magnatise your turrets, keeping them safe from harm.

Soviet Casualties

Soviet Casualties

£5.85
Quantity:

*Pre-Release Order

The Soviet casualties pack offers some new miniatures to add to any other Soviet company to make your bases come alive with action.

Originally, these figures were designed to add flavour to the massive Shtraf companies. Casey’s Shtraf battalion project uses these figures in his first company to represent heavy casualties as it charges towards the objective!

These have long been a dream for Casey, an avid Soviet player, who wanted to be able to model his tide of men both advancing and in the slightly more gruesome, no matter how realistic, posed as dead and wounded. Soviet casualties can also add a bit of realism to German teams, objectives, and terrain.

The pack includes 11 individually sculpted casualties with 22 figures in total.

If you already own Festung Europa - Select your free book:

SPECIAL OFFER!

If you have previously purchased a copy of Festung Europa you can select any western front divisional book to take with you absolutely free when you buy a copy of Fortress Europe!

Fortress Europe contains the core forces that were in Festung Europa, but they have been given the modern equivalent of a makeover to bring them to that same standard as our current books.

The first major change is the organisation diagrams for choosing your company have been changed to the new style.

The second major change is the addition of new units that have appeared in all the handbooks from the last two years in their relative places. Now all the forces can use the new equipment, not just the divisions covered in the handbooks.

The last major difference is that we have updated the Soviet section to bring it in line with the Eastern front books.

The book has new photographs, styles and layouts, making this a real step forward from Festung Europa visually as well as content wise.

Fortress Europe is a 160 page full colour book and is the same price as Festung Europa. It does not replace Festung Europa, but updates the lists within it. The forces in Festung Europa can still be fielded as valid Flames Of War forces so you are not forced to change anything should you not want to. It is simply a matter of making clear which book your force is from as it is either one or the other.

Fortress Europe will be out in stores on November 8th and to celebrate its launch we are going to say thank you in the best way we know how to all of you who have been supporting and playing late-war for the last two years. If you own a current copy of Festung Europa and would like to get Fortress Europe all you have to do is bring your copy down to your local store and when you purchase the new book you can choose any western front divisional book to take with you absolutely free.

That’s right you get to add one more divisional book to your collection for free when you pick up your copy of Fortress Europe. This can be any of the western front books from D-1 to Cobra and is a great way to pick up the book you simply never got round to getting.
